.UASE activities include Chinese cooking,
Chinese painting and calligraphy, traditional tea
ceremony, arts and crafts such as paper cutting,
puppetry and lantern making, games like mahjong and
Chinese chess, traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese
literature, sports like ping pong, badminton, tai
chi, & kung fu, and traditional entertainment,
including Chinese opera and acrobatics. In addition
to the more-traditional pursuits, students are
invited to participate in China's modern
recreations, such as shopping, sightseeing, museum
going, and karaoke, as well as the more-popular
(among locals) Western sports, such as basketball
and football. The goal of all UASE activities is for
students to participate side-by-side with their
local counterparts toward the goal of mutual
understanding and respect. Click here
